Welcome

Hi, I’m Wendy, and I’d like to extend a warm welcome and thank you for visiting my page at The Growing Space. I believe we are who we are today due to our past experiences, however I also believe they do not have to define who we are or want to be. I offer a non judgemental, supportive and safe space with a compassionate, sensitive and curious approach for us to work together for the future you want. I offer in-person, phone and online sessions allowing the flexibility we need in today's busy world.
About Me
I am a university qualified professional Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a pluralistic approach, and experience of working with adults of all ages and backgrounds.

It simply means that I view each client as unique and tailor my approach to fit your individual needs. My goal is to support and empower you throughout your journey, with sessions designed to reflect your personal experiences and aspirations.
At The Growing Space, there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach – everything is personalized to you.
My background and experience

My passion for supporting others has been a constant thread throughout my career. One of my early roles involved supporting women and children escaping domestic and narcissistic abuse—an area that continues to be close to my heart. I remain deeply committed to this work, and it informs much of what I do today.
Additionally, my years of experience working with and teaching large groups led me to co-run a support group for bereaved individuals. This experience holds special meaning to me, as loss and grief are universal experiences that affect us all at some point in life.
With a holistic background, I understand the vital connection between the mind and body, and I believe in working on ourselves as a whole to promote healing and growth.
During my training and after qualifying, I had the privilege of working with a leading mental health charity in Cheshire and with a small, open-ended face-to-face charity in Rugeley, providing one-on-one counselling. After gaining invaluable experience, I made the decision to transition into private practice, where I can offer more personalized support.
Area's of experience
I specialise in supporting individuals dealing with bereavement, complicated grief, domestic and narcissistic abuse, intimate partner violence (IPV), childhood trauma, adult trauma, and those who support loved ones struggling with addiction.
In addition, I have years of experience in areas such as OCD, navigating life changes and challenges, relationship issues—including intimacy concerns—and much more.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns. I’m here to help.
